Jean Thoby, author of the book The Secret Song of Plants, has for many years been studying how plants react to their environment and the electrical phenomena that can be converted into music using specific devices. His approach, at the crossroads of scientific observation, sound experimentation and a deep sensitivity to the plant world, invites us to look anew at the relationship between human beings and nature.

From 28 to 30 August 2026, the ashram welcomes Jean and Frédérique Thoby for a special weekend of lectures, a workshop and a concert dedicated to the plant world. Through their sensitive and experimental approach, they invite participants to look at plants differently, deepen their listening to the living world, and explore new ways of relating to nature.

Saturday 29 August 2026, from 12:30 to 3:00 p.m., Jean and Frédérique Thoby will lead a workshop on the relationship with plants and on listening to the living. A time for attentive exploration and experimentation in the heart of the ashram grounds.

Sunday 30 August 2026, from 12:00 to 12:45 p.m., Jean and Frédérique Thoby will present a concert with the plants — a contemplative sonic experience in which the electrical variations of plants are transformed into music.
