This course is ideal for anyone wishing to be more disciplined in their yoga practice. Whether you are a beginner or have completed the teachers’ training course, this course will help you to improve your personal yoga practice.

Topics covered:

  • The main principles of a yogic lifestyle and practicing it daily during your stay at the ashram
  • Introduction to healthy yogic diet and how it increases vitality
  • How to make a yoga space at home
  • How to maintain the discipline at home
  • The spiritual diary and how to integrate it into your life

Recommended reading: “Meditation and Mantras”, Swami Vishnudevananda.

Daily schedule:

  • 6am: Satsang (group meditation, kirtan and mantra chanting, short lecture)
  • 8am: Yoga class
  • 10am: Brunch (lacto vegetarian / sattvic diet)
  • 10:45am: One-hour karma yoga (selfless service)
  • Between noon and 3pm: One-hour lecture or asana workshop or silent walk
  • 4pm: Yoga class
  • 6pm: Dinner (lacto vegetarian / sattvic diet)
  • 6:45pm: One-hour karma yoga (if not done in the morning)
  • 8pm: Satsang (group meditation, kirtan and mantra chanting, short lecture)

This daily schedule can be subject to occasional changes.

Arrival/Departure:

  • Check-in: 2pm-8pm, on first day. First event is 4pm yoga class on arrival day
  • Check-out: by 11am, on last day. Last event is the one-hour afternoon lecture on departure day

About the Teacher

Rukmini Chaitanya

Rukmini is originally from Taiwan and Australia. She has a passion for singing kirtans which she enthusiastically shares in the teachers’ training courses and other courses. She has been practising Carnatic singing, a South Indian style of music, for many years. She is in charge of the Ashram boutique.
