Certificate course: Yoga and meditation techniques to better face trauma

Traumatic experiences leave deep impressions on our subconscious mind and can block us from living a happy and fulfilled life.
In this course, we will use the ancient techniques of yoga to stimulate positive changes in our mental patterns to overcome past negative impressions and start creating new ones that are beneficial for our mental health.
Topics Covered:
- How to use the techniques of raja yoga (yoga psychology) to detect and counteract past negative impressions
- Replace negative thoughts through the power of positive thinking
- Time-tested yoga methods to overcome anxiety and fear
- The power of meditation and the use of mantras to create a healthy mental environment
- Applying deep relaxation for dissolving accumulated mental and physical tensions
- Develop a neutral mental state to free yourself from inner blockages and gain control of your life
- Become the observer of your mind to connect with the blissful inner self that is free from all traumas
With certificate of participation
Daily schedule:
- 6am: Satsang (group meditation, kirtan and mantra chanting, short lecture)
- 8am: Yoga class
- 10am: Brunch (lacto vegetarian / sattvic diet)
- 10:45am: One-hour karma yoga (selfless service)
- Between noon and 3pm: Lecture or workshop (1h30 to 2h)
- 4pm: Yoga class or workshop
- 6pm: Dinner (lacto vegetarian / sattvic diet)
- 6:45pm: One-hour karma yoga (if not done in the morning)
- 8pm: Satsang (group meditation, kirtan and mantra chanting, short lecture)
This daily schedule can be subject to occasional changes.
Arrival/Departure:
- Check-in: 2pm-8pm, on first day. First event is 4pm yoga class on arrival day
- Check-out: by 11am, on last day. Last event is an afternoon lecture on departure day

About the Teacher
Kaivalya Carmel Johnson (guest teacher)
Kaivalya (Carmel Johnson) has been teaching yoga at the Paris Sivananda Yoga Centre for many years as well as teaching and translating Sivananda Teachers’ Training Courses in Northern India. A psychology graduate, she has been counselling numerous people in their life paths and their relationships.
